Welcome! I’m Alexandra (Sandy) Zahnd. My experience in education spans the worlds of both elementary and secondary schools, where I’ve embraced the roles of teacher, guide, mentor, and learner. 

Amongst other roles I am an English teacher, history teacher, have a specialist in Special Education, Guidance Counsellor, have my Principal’s Papers, am a professional member of the Canadian Counsellors and Psychotherapy Association and, for the last 5 years, have been an IB (International Baccalaureate) Coordinator and have also trained in literacy and library.

I’ve dedicated my career to the holistic development of every student I’ve encountered. My approach to education is rooted in understanding and unlocking the unique potential within each student.

 Beyond the classroom, I am a proud mom of four incredible children, each of whom has taught me the importance of patience, resilience, and the reality of a personalized learning journey. No child is the same or learns the same.

At Focused Futures, me experiences allow me to offer specialized educational consulting services. My mission is to help students navigate their educational pathways with confidence, curiosity, and a sense of purpose.
